Description

The Avalon Beltless Monitoring Solution delivers a wireless, belt-free monitoring experience that allows expectant mothers to walk, shower, and move freely during labor while ensuring continuous monitoring of fetal and maternal heart rates and uterine activity. Instead of traditional ultrasound or belt-based systems, it uses adhesive patches applied to the abdomen containing ECG and EMG electrodes, enabling high-quality signal acquisition and allowing care teams to focus on maternal and neonatal care rather than sensor adjustments.

Designed to accommodate conditions such as high maternal BMI, epidural use, and various labor positions, the system operates in integration with the Avalon CL base station. Through Philips Smart Pulse™ technology, maternal and fetal heart rates are automatically differentiated, artifact risk is reduced, and continuous monitoring is maintained without the need for repositioning.
