The Philips Remote Fetal Monitoring Solution enables expectant mothers to undergo Non-Stress Tests (NSTs) at home using the FDA-cleared INVU platform. A wireless, wearable sensor belt captures fetal and maternal heart rate data as well as uterine activity, and securely transmits this information to the hospital’s electronic medical record via Philips IntelliBridge Enterprise. This allows clinicians to monitor patients remotely from virtually any location, while patients remain under observation in the comfort of their own homes. As a result, access to care is improved, patient adherence is enhanced, and potential reductions in hospital utilization may be achieved.
